Book Yourself a Hypnosis Goal-Setting Session to Really Achieve What You Want This Year

Do you want to achieve your goals this year through the power of your own subconscious mind?

Then you need hypnosis. It works at the subconscious level, a bit like the iceberg below the water being the actual foundation of your mind. It is safe, natural and deeply relaxing, both in mind and body. My website explains more http://www.englishskypehypnotist.com/hypnosis/

Together, we can establish some SMART goals for you, ones that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timed.

Why Specific? Well, if you tell me you want more money in 2017 and I give you £1, have you achieved your goal? Probably not. Or if you say you want to lose weight and you lose only 1 lb all year, is that what you meant? Again, probably not. The subconscious mind likes specific goals to picture and work towards. So put a number or a value on what you want to achieve to make it Measurable.

It should be Achievable and Realistic. Earning an extra £50,000 this year is achievable if you are earning £2 million - that might be your bonus - but not if you are earning average wage with very little chance of rapid promotion. You would need a formula for earning through other sources of income, unless Auntie Mary leaves you £50,000 as an inheritance this year. Your goal should be Realistic within your current resources eg do you need extra qualifications to reach a certain job level? Do you have the time, resources and knowledge to reach your goal?

Goals should be Timed. “I want to lose more weight” is just a wish, not a goal. Tell me you want to lose 2 stone in six months and we have a realistic, achievable and timed goal.

Once we have SMART goals we need to check that they fit with your personal values and that they are YOUR goals. That might sound obvious but why do you want to lose weight? If you are happy the way you are but your partner keeps nagging you to lose weight, the goal is not congruent with your desire if you are being authentic to yourself. Perhaps earning more money is not your motivator but seeking appreciation for your talents. You only have one life, as far as we know, so let's make it the best one.

If you really want 2017 to be different to 2016 and make positive changes, let's start the year right with a personal goal-setting breakthrough session. We can meet face to face or over Skype. Invest in yourself to make 2017 your best year ever.

I Can Take Your Fear of the Dentist Away

Hands up who likes going to the dentist? Not that many of you huh?

Many people are downright scared of going to the dentist, to the point where it be could be called a fear, or even a phobia which is an irrational fear. Having dental treatment can be unpleasant but it is unlikely to be dangerous or kill us so it is irrational to fear the man or woman looming over us in a mask.

No one is born being afraid of dental visits. So everyone who is afraid has learned somewhere that dental treatment is something to fear. Some people learn this because they have had previous bad dental experiences. The sense of loss of control in the dental environment may be enough to avoid dental treatment forever while others may be afraid due to stories they have heard, movies they have seen or other indirect experiences. The message conveyed to a child from a scared parent might be that going to see a dentist is something to be afraid of. Such messages may cause individuals to avoid treatment and not have any opportunity to learn that things can be different.

Some people fear going to the dentist so much that they just don't go, for years, sometimes 10 or 20 years and then they may well need some treatment reinforcing their negative expectation. The fact is that a routine check-up and good oral health will keep the cavities away and improve our chance of long-term trouble-free teeth and gums.

Did you know that safe and relaxing hypnosis can rid you of the fear, whether you are an adult or a child? Children love hypnosis and they are very good subjects because they enjoy sitting in the "magic chair" and going on a "journey of fantasy". A negative association with the dentist can easily be replaced with a positive reinforcement of looking after our dental health.

As the English Skype Hypnotist, I help clients all over the world from the comfort of their own home using the wonderful free technology of Skype hypnosis. I also see clients face to face on the South coast of England. Let me help you and trips to the dentist will be short and trouble free. There is nothing to fear, only fear itself.

I Don't Want To Be The Fat Bridesmaid

Sally came to me three months before her best friend's wedding. She had been invited to be a bridesmaid, as had two other friends. One of the friends was very overweight, at least five stones or 70 pounds on the heavy side. Sally wanted to lose two stones or 28 pounds to look her best for the big day. She did not want to be the "fat bridesmaid" in her best friend's wedding photos.

Both girls met me when I had an exhibition stand about Gastric Band Hypnosis, or Virtual Gastric Band. I explained that this is safe and relaxing. We pretend that the person is having an operation to fit a gastric band at the opening of their stomach to restrict the amount of food they will eat and the power of their subconscious mind makes the experience real, giving all the benefits without any of the pain, discomfort, time off work and large investment of money.

Gastric band operations are quite common procedures now but there are always risks of undergoing general anaesthetic and ensuing stitches, scar tissue, even burst bands can pose problems. The operation's true cost is around £10,000 but available free on the NHS within the UK providing the patient qualifies by being sufficiently overweight with a high enough BMI. Sally was only two stones overweight so would not have qualified. The average cost in the USA is currently $25,000.

Gastric Band Hypnosis is completely safe, deeply relaxing and available in the comfort of your own home via the technology of hypnosis over Skype. Wherever you are in the world, I can help you. My current fee for the programme is £500, considerably cheaper than £10,000 or $25,000 for an operation which will cause discomfort and time off work at the very least.

Sally's friend chose not to book this programme. She muttered something about the price as she fiddled with her BMW key fob.

Sally did book the programme. From the first session, she noticed the difference in her eating patterns, as did her family and colleagues. She wasn't hungry and she found it easy to lose the weight - all two stones in time for the wedding. She wasn't the "fat bridesmaid" but we know who was.

Young Women Smokers Die Unnecessarily

Smoking-related illnesses are not just something people develop in old age. Young women have been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease which can include a variety of diseases including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. These young women had smoked excessively in their teenage years. The symptoms can be as bad as lung cancer and cause breathing problems. About 30,000 people die unnecessarily young every year yet all they had to do was stop smoking.

But how do they give up addiction to nicotine, the most addictive substance on the planet? Many cannot stop just by their own willpower and face cravings and horrible withdrawal symptoms. Some ask the pharmacist for nicotine replacement products eg tablets or chewing gum but still remain addicted to nicotine. Nicotine chewing gum has also been associated with oral cancer. Take your pick - lung disease possibly leading to lung cancer or oral cancer?

What if I told you that smoking can be beaten easily with hypnosis? It's safe, natural and quick, in fact most people stop smoking in just one session and stay stopped. Recently a couple of chain smokers reported that they had not smoked since their single session with me back in 2009 - six years ago!!! One man told me that not only had he stopped smoking immediately but felt like he had never smoked. Hypnosis is really powerful.

The other bit of good news is that I offer smoking cessation the easy way - via Skype in the comfort of your own home. I am an English female hypnotherapist and I want to help you stop smoking just like all the people before you. We simply connect over Skype, I ask you first to complete a short questionnaire about your health and lifestyle then we talk about why you started smoking, why stopping has been so difficult and what are your personal reasons for wanting to stop. Everyone is different but reasons might include: difficulty breathing, reduced stamina, want to try for pregnancy, don't want to smoke around children, health problem caused by smoking, doctor has advised you to stop smoking, signs of early ageing, makes you smell of stale ash, waste of money (literally burning money away) or prefer to spend the money on holidays, hobbies or going out.

There are many reasons to give up and I cannot think of any good reason to keep smoking.

Well-known Health & Fitness Club Says Don't Tell Members How Gastric Band Hypnosis Can Help Them!

My Health & Fitness Club told me not to tell fellow members about Gastric Band Hypnosis which I offer because it competes with their services!

I'm not competing with the gym, the fitness classes or the swimming & spa. On the contrary, I absolutely recommend that people do regular exercise and preferably something cardio-vascular to give them a healthy heart as well as toning & conditioning for their muscles. When hypnotherapy clients come to me for weight loss, I always recommend they join this particular Health & Fitness Club, whether our local club or one in their area if they are a Skype Hypnosis client.

I was stunned when the manager took me aside. I had overheard one of the hugely obese members in the changing room complaining about how her weight was not changing, even though she regularly attended exercise classes. So I told her briefly about Gastric Band Hypnosis and gave her one of my information leaflets. She showed the leaflet to the manager who is also obese and I was told off.

Gastric Band Hypnosis is a safe, natural and relaxing program of 4 sessions in which the client "undergoes gastric band surgery in a virtual way" ie we pretend s/he is having the operation. As our powerful subconscious mind cannot distinguish between imagined events and reality, it sends the message to the stomach that a gastric band is in place. The client starts to reduce portion size and change eating habits to more healthy ones. Without any effort, the client starts to lose weight and, because this all starts in the powerful subconscious mind, these changes to eating habits are permanent.

One man reported reducing his portion size by one-third overnight. One woman told me how her new 'conscious eating habits' changed the way she ate her lunch at work. My best result so far is a woman of 32 who weighed 24 stone (336 lbs or 152 kg) and lost 7 stone (98 lbs or 44 kg) with Gastric Band Hypnosis. 7 stone!!! Her doctor had told her she was not eligible for a free Gastric Band Surgery in the UK NHS system because her BMI was not high enough. She had to put on more weight before the NHS would fund her £10,000 operation. As she had not worked in two years and was severely depressed, she could not even consider paying for the operation privately. Gastric Band Hypnosis cost a fraction of that amount and did not leave her with scar tissue, bruising, stitches or needing to recover from general anaesthetic. It's an option that might be the answer to losing weight that you need.

I offer Gastric Band Hypnosis for clients local to Portsmouth in Hampshire, UK, or worldwide over Skype Hypnosis. You can find me at English Skype Hypnotist.

Hypnotherapy Helps Man Overcome Panic Attacks and Agoraphobia

Imagine being scared to leave your own home because of the way you look, fearing taunting and prejudice will bring on panic attacks.

Richard Savage is a chef who suffers from Moebius Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder which paralyses the facial muscles. It can cause respiratory problems, difficulty swallowing, sleep disorders, weak upper body strength, and, as in Mr Savage's case, problems with speech.

He has been taunted all his life and been the victim of prejudice, even being told once he was too "ugly" in a job interview.

Two years ago, he stopped going out of the house, developing panic attacks and Agoraphobia, the fear of open spaces. He said, 'I never left my house. It was terrible. I had to get a doctor's note and wasn't able to work. I have a genetic condition which means I can't move the muscles in my face. It affects my speech. I was never able to fit in with society and at school I was badly bullied. People said I was retarded and ugly. I felt worthless. I became very dejected and withdrew. In my mind, leaving the house was too risky because almost every time I went outside I suffered prejudice.'

Rather than give in to a lifetime of depression, Richard finally turned his life around after having home visits from a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist. He said:

'A friend suggested I try and get help with my agoraphobia so I had one two-hour session. I was very sceptical but I drifted off naturally, like a good night's sleep. It was like I had gone through a fog and there were no more worries, no more anxiety and no panicking. It is almost like you peel away years of anxiety and that is a big, dramatic change.' He says leaving his house for the first time was 'amazing'. The hypnotherapist who treated him said he came out of the session 'bright eyed and bubbly like a different person'.

This is the power of hypnosis, working with your own subconscious mind to produce results, naturally and safely. Imagine what it could do for you.

The Average Student Goes Into a Hypnotic State 112 Times a Day

"The average student goes into a Hypnotic state 112 times a day."
Many people mistakenly believe that hypnosis is some weird unnatural state.  Not at all.  It is a perfectly natural altered state of consciousness which we all enter several times a day eg daydreaming, driving whilst talking or listening to the radio and being engrossed in a TV programme or film.

A stage hypnotist talks people into a hypnotic trance for entertainment purposes but the same trance state can be used for beneficial purposes in hypnotherapy, such as removing bad habits, teaching pain control or overcoming phobias.

Studying for most people is an engaging time of expanding the mind and learning new information but for some, all that reading and writing essays then cramming for exams can be stressful.  Whilst some sail through with top grades, most would benefit from less stress.  Learning self-hypnosis can be most useful in reducing stress and actually helping the mind to absorb information.

Hypnosis is even used to aid the learning of foreign languages.  I knew of a languages school in Spain which ran an intensive Spanish programme using hypnosis to speed up retention of the language.

Rehearsing the exams situation, seeing yourself be calm and recalling the information is very beneficial.  Hypnosis is used in a similar way to improve sports performance.  Knowing how to play tennis to a high standard is one thing but mentally seeing yourself serving well and placing the ball outside of your opponent’s reach is a large part of success.  Top athletes in many sports use hypnosis to their advantage.  It is also used to motivate an improvement in performance.

Going back to exams, hypnosis is used to mentally prepare and rehearse driving tests and flying tests.  I once helped a man who had failed the test for his Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) three times.  This was costing him a great deal of money so he came to me for hypnosis and successfully flew through the exam.  Excuse the pun!

Hypnotists can work with children over the age of seven and children make very good hypnotic subjects as they are so creative and use their visual imagination well.  They love being taken for a “ride on a flying carpet” or seeing themselves “as a hero scoring the winning goal.”  As well as helping with studying and helping to cope with exam nerves, hypnosis boosts self-confidence and we can always do with a little more confidence.

Have you thought of helping your child achieve their best results with hypnosis?

I Can Help Solve Your Child's Problems with Hypnosis

You want the best for your children and it pains you to see them unhappy, without friends, struggling at school, lacking confidence or plagued by an unwanted habit, fear or phobia.  Talking to them does not solve the problem and the doctor just says they will grow out of it.  But you want to help your child now.  Good.  I can help.  I am a Mum and know how precious children are and have lots of experience helping children using hypnosis.

Children really enjoy hypnosis.  They love the “magic chair”, pretending to “fly on a magic carpet” or seeing themselves “scoring the winning goal”.

Any parent knows that children pretty much live in a trance state.  Call it daydreaming if you like but they can easily be somewhere else in a flash.  In fact younger children can enter hypnosis with their eyes open and not even sitting still.

Children also respond well to hypnosis and there are several key areas which bring effective results ie habits; self-confidence and overcoming shyness; coping with pressure at school and exam nerves; coping with divorce or death in the family and chronic health conditions.

As with an adult, there is far more going on in the subconscious mind (below the water) than in the conscious tip of an iceberg (above the water).  Even at a young age, a child has already clocked up thousands of experiences, any one of which could be causing a problem.  You only have to read how big a problem child obesity and eating disorders are becoming to know that is true.

What sort of problems do I help?

  • Habits eg bedwetting, thumbsucking, hairpulling.

My blog post on the Ericksonian Approach to Thumbsucking

  • Fears and phobias such as spiders, dogs, school, needles, blood, medical treatment, the dentist, the dark.
  • Weight problems, obesity, eating disorders ie anorexia or bulimia and fussy eating.
  • Children can be badly affected by divorce, arrival of a new step-parent, a new sibling or a death in the family.  I know.  Don’t let your child carry these issues into adulthood and affect their relationships.
  • Children can hate school because they are being bullied, are left out, are shy or a favourite teacher has left.  They cannot concentrate because the teaching methods do not match how they need to learn.  That is where my NLP skills can help.
  • Children are under tremendous pressure in these uncertain economic times.  Competition is fierce and the need to do well at school is paramount.  Some sail through but many suffer from stress and bad exam nerves.  Occasionally we hear the sad news of a teenager ending their life because of the stress.  It can be avoided.

“I can’t thank you enough for helping my daughter (16) through her exams.  She was so stressed, had developed an eating disorder and was even cutting herself.  She is a changed girl and this is all thanks to you.   She scored excellent results in her exams and now has confidence.  She has gone to China for a year to work as an au pair.  This was unthinkable before you helped her. ”  - Eva, Sweden

Whatever problem your child has, I would like to help.  I have the knowledge and experience to do so.

We can do this face-to-face in the UK or over  video anywhere in the world.

You Can Overcome Stage Fright with Hypnosis

Even famous singing stars can feel terrified when invited to perform live at major events. Panic and insomnia set in. A pounding heart, clammy palms, sweating and the terror can affect voice quality. Why would that be when they have performed live so many times? Maybe it is the thought of performing in front of thousands or even millions if a global televised event.
Stage fright can even be so bad that it causes a performer to vomit in the lavatories before appearing on stage.
However, visiting a hypnotherapist is a good solution to calm nerves and overcome the stage fright.
Under hypnosis, events and situations do not seem so scary so you can face whatever it is that you are afraid of whether that be fear of heights, flying, spiders, public speaking or in this case - singing live in front of millions. The hypnotherapist uses a process of detaching you from reality so that you become desensitized to whatever is making your heart beat too fast. The result is that your mind is reprogrammed to see the object of your fear in a non-scary way and maybe even enjoy the experience.
Once the mind is re-programmed at the deep unconscious level where all permanent change must take place, life will never be the same.
I know because I overcame my life-long phobia of spiders through self-hypnosis.
An opera singer once approached me for help with her stage fright. Her contemporaries were coping with beta-blockers which are prescribed to cope with the physiological symptoms of the "fight or flight" response (pounding heart, cold/clammy hands, increased respiration, sweating, etc.) The symptoms are significantly reduced, thus enabling anxious individuals to concentrate on the task at hand.
However, Wikipedia (1) quotes the following adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with the use of beta blockers include: nausea, diarrhoea, bronchospasm, dyspnea, cold extremities, exacerbation of Raynaud's Syndrome, bradycardia, hypotension, heart failure, heart block, fatigue, dizziness, alopecia (hair loss), abnormal vision, hallucinations, insomnia, nightmares, sexual or erectile dysfunction and/or alteration of glucose and lipid metabolism. They must also not be prescribed if the patient suffers from asthma or takes cocaine.
So this very sensible opera singer preferred to learn how to overcome her stage fright with natural, relaxing hypnosis.
Hypnosis is available now through Skype for anyone who wishes to overcome stage fright or any fear, phobia or anxiety state. This takes place in your home or office over Skype anywhere in the world. You will be guided into deep mental and physical relaxation and in this wonderful state the uncomfortable anxiety is replaced with cool, calm, relaxed confidence. Hypnotic suggestions are installed and techniques offered for you to easily recall these feelings whenever needed.

Did Adele Have Hypnosis for Stage Fright?

When singing star Adele heard her Bond theme song "Skyfall" was nominated for Best Song at the Oscars in 2013 she was over the moon but also terrified when invited to perform it live at the ceremony.  Panic and insomnia set in.  Why would that be when she has performed live so many times?  It might have something to do with the fact that she heard her own idol Barbra Streisand would also be performing or just that she knew she would be performing in front of millions worldwide.

Apparently, Adele's stage fright was so bad that at last year's Grammy Awards she was heard to vomit in the toilets before appearing on stage.

The Sun Showbiz Editor wrote: “The star has been having the treatment in LA in a bid to conquer her anxiety over her upcoming Oscars performance”.  Apparently she has a history of being extremely nervous and refuses to play in large venues and stadiums.

A friend recommended she visit a hypnotherapist to calm her nerves and overcome the stage fright.

Under hypnosis events and situations do not seem so scary so we can face whatever it is that we are afraid of whether that be fear of heights, flying, spiders, public speaking or in Adele's case - singing live in front of millions.  Through a process of detaching from the reality we can desensitize to whatever is making our heart beat too fast and reprogram our mind to see it in an non-scary way, even enjoy the experience.  I even overcame my life-long phobia of spiders through self-hypnosis.  Once our mind is re-programmed at the deep unconscious level where all permanent change must take place, life will never be the same.
